A Memorable Commission Shoot for Cummins

I recently had the opportunity to work on a commission shoot in Madrid for Cummins. The assignment was to capture the Dealer Conference over a five-day period. This event took place in the vibrant capital of Spain and was meticulously planned to bring together key stakeholders, partners, and dealers from around the world. Everyone was eager to share insights and foster connections within the industry.

Conference photographer, candid photography

The atmosphere throughout the conference was electric. Over 250 delegates attended, representing a diverse array of backgrounds and experiences. The brief for this shoot was clear: capture the essence of the event in a candid style. I aimed to highlight not only the formal proceedings but also the spontaneous interactions and moments of levity that naturally occurred throughout the gathering.

Documenting Key Moments

The goal was to document the key moments in a light and humorous way. I wanted to ensure that the final images would resonate with the attendees and reflect the camaraderie and enthusiasm that characterised the conference. Over the five days, the schedule was packed with various activities. These included keynote speeches from industry leaders, breakout sessions focused on innovative strategies, and networking opportunities that encouraged collaboration among delegates.

Keynote speeches and breakout sessions

Each day unfolded with a unique set of events. From engaging panel discussions to interactive workshops, everything was designed to inspire and educate the participants. My candid photography approach allowed me to capture genuine reactions and interactions. This showcased the lively discussions and shared laughter that filled the rooms.

Capturing the Spirit of the Gathering

As the conference progressed, I witnessed many memorable moments. Delegates exchanged ideas during coffee breaks, engaged in animated discussions during workshops, and shared camaraderie during evening social events. These interactions provided a rich tapestry of imagery that conveyed the spirit of the gathering. The use of humour in the photography not only lightened the mood but also highlighted the strong relationships being built among the attendees. These visuals would evoke fond memories of the conference long after it concluded.

The event beautifully concluded with a group photo of all who attended. This was taken at the stunning Casio of Madrid, a venue that perfectly encapsulated the grandeur of the occasion. This final image served as a lasting memento of the collective experience, bringing together all the individuals who participated in the event and marking the end of a successful and inspiring conference.

A Comprehensive Visual Narrative

The overall aim of the shoot was to create a comprehensive visual narrative that captured the essence of the Dealer Conference. This ensured that Cummins could showcase the event's success and the strong community spirit fostered among its dealers.

Here is a gallery with some of the highlights and a sample of the style of photography taken at the company event.
